“The Emerging Markets Network seeks out opportunities to learn about, educate and connect Georgetown students to developing areas of the world that demonstrate growth potential across any
and all disciplines of business.”
--EMN Vision Statement
Since its inception, EMN has been managed as a platform for broadly educating the business school community about emerging markets. In this capacity, under the stewardship of graduate students , EMN has steadily expanded its reach within the business school through events like the annual Emerging Markets Conference. This year’s conference featured widely-respected professionals from organizations like the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, Development Alternatives, Inc.,
Nathan Associates Inc., and J.E. Austin Associates.
Going forward, EMN will be extending its focus to include more career development opportunities, serving as a nexus for all information related to careers in emerging markets. We attract students at Georgetown who are interested in working in international
business in emerging markets, whether its in economic consulting and
international development, private equity or project finance, or
through one of Washington DC’s many multilateral organizations. Also, being open to all Georgetown graduate students enables EMN to form a bridge between MSB and other prestigious Georgetown graduate programs. We leverage Georgetown’s location in our nation’s capitol, with its many opportunities in the international arena.
